Jared and the Mill
Jared and the Mill
Jared & The Mill came together in June 2011 to play a show at the Clubhouse in Tempe, AZ. The individuals bonded almost effortlessly, and grew together as a band shortly after.

Months down the road the band not only rediscovered the genre of music they were born to play (Folk-pop), but they also picked up a dedicated fan base because of their completely original and unique sound.

With elements
of Folk, Western, Americana, and Pop, Jared & The Mill is a band unlike any you've heard in the past.

Jared & The Mill is quickly gaining attention in the Southwest. In the first six months (even without an EP!) the group has played various venues, including iconic stages like Comerica Theater, Crescent Ballroom, Martini Ranch and the legendary Roxy Theater in Los Angeles, CA.

Their first EP titled "In Our Youth" was released in April of 2012
The group went on a very successful first tour through California in August of 2012.

Jared Kolesar :: Singer/Songwriter, Lead Vocals
Jared Kolesar is the band's singer/songwriter and passionate lead.

He has considered himself a singer and songwriter for the majority of his young life. A couple years ago, Jared and his best friend, Michael Carter (coincidentally the mandolin/banjo player in the Locals), discovered music from the likes of Joe Pug, Ryan Adams, and other Folk artists. The friends also found their place in this genre as artists.

Since then Jared has amassed a band under the name of "Jared & The Mill" comprised of Larry Gast III on lead guitar, Michael Carter on mandolin, banjo and harmonica, Chuck "Bassman" Morriss on the electric and upright bass, Gabe Hall-Rodriguez on accordion/keyboard and Josh Morin on the drums and percussion.

The group came together in the summer of 2011, and has continually gained attention through their connections all over the nation, and especially in the Southwest.

Michael Carter
Michael "Mike" Carter is the band's banjo, mandolin, harmonica player, and Jared's lifelong, best friend.
He is and always has been a driving Folk influence to Jared's lyrics, tempos and rhythms.

At the start of their musical journey, Mike played lead guitar, for their bands "Halfway to Rome," "Radio Cafe," "Teatime for Larry" and "Jared and Mike." Through thick and thin the duo has maintained an unfaltering friendship through shared interests in not only musical talent but also camping, shooting, archery, woodcutting, carpentry, furniture restoration and other Folky (and always manly) activities.
The Rocketboys
The Rocketboys
For The Rocketboys, 2012 was a resilient journey. After nearly calling it quits when half the band parted ways in early 2011, the remaining three members - Brandon Kinder (singer/guitarist), Justin Wiseman (keys) and Josh Campbell (bass) - resuscitated the acclaimed melodic rock band with a lush, cathartic album: "Build Anyway."

Since "Build Anyway," The Rocketboys have not skipped a beat with a year of US touring in 2012, a brand new Total Recall-inspired music video (tinyurl.com/totalrocketboys), a month long tour this July in support of Relient K and The Almost, and a rapidly expanding collection of new material for the band's third LP. With the addition of a new drummer and guitar player (respectively Josh Rodgers and Kyle Samuel) the band once again delivers a powerful, anthemic performance.

Still inspired by the Mother Teresa quote that gave life to the band after nearly calling it quits, "What you spend years building someone could destroy overnight: build anyway," The Rocketboys continue to build.
