Every week great local and national original live bands come through The Door. The Door is the place to see bands up close before you have to pay big money to see them in an arena. 

The Door means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. A great tour stop for National bands on MTV to do all-ages shows. For Indie Rock bands where the emphasis is on the music and whose followings are too young or just don't want to drink. To up-and-coming, new bands, an open door opportunity for all-ages shows and for Christian bands who don’t play bars and their following prefers a clean environment.

Someday you will find The Door in every major city. People change, culture changes and more than ever there is a need for all-ages art centers where people can experience great live music, art, comedy and meet people without the baggage that goes along with the bar scene. The Door fills a need in our society for people between the age of going to McDonald’s with mommy to learn of the latest Disney campaign and the over twenty-one, bar-hopping scene. Most people who frequent The Door are ages 17-28.

It's a new day. People grow, society evolves. Today, people want inspiring, true, fresh forms of entertainment.

The success of The Door in Deep Ellum has proven the concept of "The Door" since May 1998. The Door #2 in Ft. Worth opened in May of 2001. The Door #3 in Canton opened in April 2006. And The Door #4 is open in Plano, TX July 2008. Someday you will find The Door in every major city.

Our belief systems influence everything we do.

Religion, philosophy, entertainment and belief systems are inseparable.  Today more than ever, people's belief systems are programmed by the entertainment machine - all the singers, writers, actors are preaching their message. Even Preachers and Politicians "put on a show" to persuade their listeners. Music shapes culture. Because of the cultural revolution of the 60’s and 70’s which was led by musicians, we have a rock'n'roll culture now. All day, people are bombarded by media's influence - TV, Movies, Ipod, Music, Myspace, News Bias, Smartphones, Billboards, ENOUGH!  The minds of the world are programmed by the entertainment machine, rock stars and political sound bytes, all with agendas and ulterior motives.  YOU don't fit the stereotypes-Christian Right, Liberal Left, Feminist, Emo, Yuppie or Punk-but the "powers that be" want everybody separated by cultural prejudice.   Where do people interact, where do people express themselves? We provide a place for cultural exchange, an exodus from the departmentalized society.
